How do you like your chocolate?
I like mine, dark and dense,
solo, or at times companioned with
a complex glass of red wine or
the perfect strawberry.
A Lesson In Nature
Nature seems to be the best teacher. As much as we wish for spring to hurry along, we don’t stand outside and chide a plant “Bloom, damn it”. We recognize that all living things need the right conditions and the right time to come to fruition.

Wanting – Part II
Thank goodness Valentine’s Day is over. Our normal consuming “wanting” is magnified to try to meet societal/cultural expectations of what giving and receiving love is supposed to be. The end results are so many people feeling left out, rejected, less than, and all sorts of self malaise.

The only way to love
is deeply,
completely,
with no reservations,
The Valentine Gift
The greatest gift you can receive on Valentine’s Day is how you choose to love yourself. While dark chocolate and a sudsy bath may provide a temporary bliss, your real bliss comes from recognizing your own pefection (with all your flaws, shame, grief, anger, etc).

Scaling the Spiritual Pyramid

I started thinking about Maslow’s hierarchy of needs today and wondered if some type of similar scale could be relevant to my own quest in spritual development. I envisioned a pyramid similar to Maslow’s.
